Firstly I would like to say this maybe the smoothest stout i have every tried.
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee fills the nostrils, while a smooth sweet coffee flavour tickles the taste buds. There are hints of possible fruits and liquorice in the flavouring.
This stout is finished off well with very little bitterness. Overall this is a well put together stout and if you are a Guinness fan then give this a try, will it ever overtake the Irish giant?
No! But it’s a very nicely put together stout and Bath Ales should be very proud of themselves, however there are other stouts out there which are just a bit more polished. Either way I can see from drinking this how you can turn to the ‘Dark side’ and I will happily have it again in the future.
