My knowledge of Porters is limited, it’s not a go-to beer by any means, but it’s one which I do enjoy when I do partake.
This one isn’t anything special. It’s a drinkable beer, but the bitter aftertaste doesn’t create a pleasurable experience. There’s nothing wrong with this as a beer, but there’s also nothing that stands out to write about.
I’m happy to be persuaded otherwise, and that this is a fine example of a porter, but personally I believe that a good beer should leave you wanting more, and this fails to achieve that.
