Final Verdict:

After a long day, about to sit down with a beer for the first time in a few days, and I notice it’s National IPA Day. Off to check supplies, and IPAs are unusually low in supply.

Then I find this Black Tor Brewery New Zealand IPA, which luckily I picked up a couple days ago, which fits the bill nicely.

This has a slightly less punchy hops flavour than many IPAs and is a hint more fruity. I love a good IPA, and this is good. The flavours are there, it’s just not as powerful and there’s something quite refreshing about it.

If I was looking for an IPA this wouldn’t top my list, but it’s a fine beer and I would love to try this on draught in a beer garden on a sunny afternoon. I’ve yet to find a beer from Black Tor which I didn’t like!
