Brewery: Belhaven brewery
Bottle Size: 330ml
Taste:A strong mango flavour with hints of citrus, and a malty bitterness
Colour:Deep amber/orange with small white head.
Aroma:Mango scent with deep hopped balanced tones.
As you would expect from a Mango IPA the aroma and taste have Mango at the forefront. (Well to start with anyway)
There is an added kick to the flavour however, there is a strong grapefruit like citrus flavour coming through giving it a slightly sour taste.
To accompany this sour taste there is a very slight bitterness coming from the malt.
I have only had one Mango IPA before so don’t have alot to go on, but this is a nice refreshing beer.
The citrus kick starts to mask the mango flavour after a while which is possibly why this is a twisted Mango tropical drink.
Twisted Mango is a different drink but I’m not sure that’s a good thing, IMO the sourness out shines the mango and when markets as a mango IPA that’s should be the flavour all the way through.
