Brewery: Faversham steam brewery

Taste:A strong citrus flavour, giving way to a fruity taste with malty aftertaste.

Aroma:A deep malty aroma with lightly spiced fruity undertones.
I must say I bought this Pale Ale by Whitstable Bay purely on the fact it was in an offer and had a different bottle cap, as I am collecting them to make a bar top.
However I was pleasantly surprised when drinking this, firstly the slight hints of spiced fruit in the aroma intrigued my senses.
Next the citrus flavour in the taste wasn’t expected, as it didn’t really stand out in the aroma.
With these things combined along with a fruity sweet, yet slightly bitter aftertaste due to the malt. The spice that comes through strong in the scent is very mild and is a nice sidekick to the bitter malt. I feel Faversham steam brewery have pulled off a very interesting beer. I hadn’t heard of Faversham before but will happily look to try more of their range in the future.
This is a solid Pale Ale and one I could easily drink, it is not a world beater but is still a very good beer.
